The Board of Directors of Misr Insurance Holding Company has approved the appointment of Bahia Ismail as the Executive Managing Director of the company, representing the Sovereign Fund of Egypt for Investment and Development, succeeding Mohamed Mahran, the former Managing Director who resigned from his position.

The Board of Directors of Misr Insurance Holding Company met today, Thursday, to consider the resignation submitted by Mohamed Mahran, who resigned last Sunday from his position as Executive Managing Director of Misr Insurance Holding Company, representing the Sovereign Fund of Egypt for Investment and Development, for personal reasons.

The board approved the resignation and expressed gratitude to Mohamed Mahran for his tenure as a Board Member and Executive Managing Director since January 28, 2023, praising the results achieved during that period.

Mr. Assem Ragab, Chairman of the Board, along with all board members, extended their thanks and appreciation to Mohamed Mahran for his efforts and unprecedented performance of the holding company and its subsidiaries during the previous period, wishing him success in his future endeavors.

In turn, Mohamed Mahran expressed his sincere thanks to the Board of Directors for the support provided by the esteemed board and his colleagues at the holding company during his tenure.

In the same session, the board accepted the nomination of Bahia Ahmed Ismail, representing the Sovereign Fund of Egypt for Investment and Development, and approved her appointment as Executive Managing Director of Misr Insurance Holding Company effective today, January 23, 2025.

It is worth mentioning that Bahia Ahmed Ismail has extensive experience in investment and banking. The board confirmed its support and best wishes for her success in the executive leadership of Misr Insurance Holding Company in the coming period.
